Not every wedding is a 12-hour marathon with 150 guests, a packed dance floor, and all the bells and whistles. Sometimes it’s just about slowing down, being present, and celebrating with the people (and pets) that mean the most.

That is how Emily and Zachery celebrated at The Inn at Westwynd Farm in Hershey, PA. On a mild September afternoon they gathered with family, their kids, and their Bernese Mountain dog, Stormy. The ceremony was behind the inn in front of the koi pond, simple and relaxed.

Stormy did her best to steal the spotlight, standing with Zachery until Emily arrived and then charging forward to join in. Later (scroll down) there was a moment I loved where their daughter Navy threw her arms around Stormy in a full hug that said everything about the day.

In two hours we covered everything: the ceremony, cake, family formals, and plenty of portraits. We walked the grounds, from the horse barn to the porch to the quiet corners of the farm, making the most of the light.

What stood out most was how natural Emily and Zachery were in front of the camera. Calm, present, and focused on each other and their kids. Proof that a small wedding can carry just as much meaning as any ballroom bash.
