People lounging in modern office space with rustic wooden walls, comfortable seating and natural lighting.

I don’t pose you into perfection. I photograph the way life actually looks. The funny faces, the messy hair, the way your kids climb all over you when you’re just trying to sit still for a nice posed shot. Those are the moments that matter. Years from now, it won’t be the matching outfits or stiff smiles you’ll hold onto, it’ll be the way your family really was, together, in that season of life.

That’s what I’m after every time I pick up the camera.

this is me.

My name is Joel. I’ve spent the better part of my life learning this photo thing. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to photograph all kinds of people in all kinds of places. I love capturing connection. I want to save these moments in an image so you can look back down the road and remember exactly who you were right now.

Whenever, wherever, however. There are no requirements to meet. My sessions aren’t about perfect light, perfect outfits, or perfect locations. You don’t need to dress up or pick a place that feels like a magazine. Just show up as you are. Wear your favorite jeans, in your backyard, at your kitchen table, wherever life actually happens. That’s how we make images that look and feel like you.

We'll schedule a session

You can book the session right here on my site on your own time. I will confirm and we're all set. (scroll down)

STEP 03

We take the

phoe-toes!

This part doesn't need an explanation, right? I mean, that's this is the whole point.

STEP 04

I deliver the photos

I will share the images I capture for you in an online gallery. You will always get digital files and I am happy to assist in the purchase of prints.

A collection of images showing toddlers playing and pulling red and yellow wagons on a driveway.

The Smarty Pants

A quick and focused session for when you just need a few great images. This one’s perfect if you’ve got little ones with short attention spans, a tight schedule, or you simply want a smaller set of solid photos without overthinking it.

The Fancy Pants

This is the just-right session for most people. Enough time to relax into it, get a good mix of portraits and candid moments, and walk away with a solid set of images that feel like you.

We’ll spend about an hour together at a location that makes sense for your vibe. That might be a field, a forest, your backyard, or your favorite little alley in the city.

The Bossy Pants

This session is made for telling the whole story. We’ll take our time, explore a few spots, and lean into whatever makes your crew feel most like yourselves. Whether that’s tossing rocks into the river, walking through tall grass, or chasing a toddler who refuses to stay in one spot. (Been there.)
