Love in Familiar Places: An After-Wedding Portrait Session

Personal and familiar locations can elevate a portrait session, making the images more meaningful. I was stoked when Crystal and Kingston chose to have their after-wedding portrait session at Kingston’s sister’s property in the smack-dab middle of Lancaster County farmland.

The evening's Fall colors brought rich, warm hues that created a magical atmosphere. With rolling hills and rustic barns as the backdrop, every pasture and path offered unique opportunities for unique shots. The familiarity of the setting allowed these two to relax, which helped create authentic images that I think truly captured their connection.

Including special places like this into your session with me isn’t just about aesthetics; it helps tell a story. If you are planning your session, consider locations that hold personal significance. These can will your photos into treasured memories that resonate with your own personal story. I hope this helps inspire you to choose a unique location for your session with me whether it's on your wedding day or anytime. Personal spaces will always feel more genuine.
