There’s something special about photographing for another photographer. It’s a real honor to be chosen by someone who knows the craft inside and out, and to be trusted as the one worthy of capturing their celebration. For Kriste and Lee’s engagement party at Levering Mill House in Bala Cynwyd, PA, I felt that honor.


Kriste is a photographer herself, and from the moment I arrived, her family welcomed me in like one of their own. That kind of atmosphere makes it easy to do what I love most: walk around a party and disappear into the background while people laugh, dance, and just enjoy themselves. Shooting parties is my element. I get to catch little vignettes of joy, quick hugs, and the kind of fleeting moments that really tell the story.


Levering Mill House was such a cool venue, tucked right into a neighborhood in Bala Cynwyd. It has this timeless, stone-house charm that sets the stage for a laid-back, happy evening. Add in a group that knows what it means to let a photographer just do their thing, and it’s exactly the kind of shoot I love.


I’m so happy to share these images with Kriste and Lee, and to have been a part of celebrating the start of this new chapter for them.
