Sandy + Scott | A Fall Wedding Along the Susquehanna
Sandy and Scott’s wedding was everything a Fall wedding should be. Colorful, laid-back, and full of heart. They picked The Barn, an Artemis Venue tucked away in Brogue, PA, with wide-open views of the Susquehanna River and just enough rustic charm to keep things cozy without trying too hard.
The ceremony started at 3 PM under a canopy of changing leaves. By cocktail hour, the light was doing that golden thing it does in late October. Perfect for portraits. We made time for all the family photos while guests enjoyed drinks and music. One of my favorite parts was seeing Sandy with her daughter, Helana. Sandy says she’s "kind of my universe," and that love came through in every photo.
Dinner came from Artistic Foods Catering, and the food smelled incredible. DJ Greg kept the energy up for the rest of the night. There were first dances, laughter, hugs, and a few moments that slipped into quiet, just long enough to soak it all in.
The Barn is a solid venue. Big skies. Great light. A fire pit and gazebo. It’s the kind of place where things feel simple and easy, and the team behind it made everything run smoothly.
This wedding wasn’t about a big production. It was about showing up fully, being present, and celebrating what matters most. Sandy and Scott, thank you for trusting me to be part of it.
